Last day at the Shore

Just really nice lighting. No one we know or met.
Sunset on the boardwalk.
As sexy a pose as one can muster at 74.
A really tall ferris wheel. I think Chris is terified.
Ice cream on the board walk.
Who the heck are those people. Must have been a mistake.
First thing, wore ourselves out on a surrey. It's not as much fun as it looks. It's just plain work.
Miniture golf. I smoked the girls.
Beauty on the beach.
Every woman wants to see this on the beach so she feels thin?

Last day at the shore. We head to Fort McHenry and then to Pembroke Virginia tomorrow to play some golf, sit on the property, drop off the plans to the contractor, go out to dinner and go to church at the local church on Sunday.

Ocean City NJ

The dirty birds all have there own vantage point staked out.
The fog was in all day. It rolled out for a few hours, but then came back in and stayed in the rest of the day and night.
The place we stayed two blocks from the boardwalk, The Anchor Inn. It is very nice and homey. Spent the evenings on the porch playing cards.
Chris hanging on to her wild steed for dear life. She is a real horse woman as we all know.
This is the "Shore", not the beach. This is how we spent our day,
Mom and Chris coming back from a test of the water, entirely too cold.
My view for most of the day when my eyes wern't closed.
Ah, the Jersey shore.

Last day in Philidelphia and drive to Ocean City, N J.

Dad's old house on Lithgow where he lived with Grandma Bell.
Advent Lutheran church where mom grew up and where she met Dad.
Lunch down close to Penns landing.
Christ's church steeple from the Deleware river on a Duck tour. The duck is an amphibious vehicle that tours the city and then the river also.
Benjamin Franklin court where Ben Franklins house stood. There is also a museum there about him.
the crossover on the El at Alleghenny st.

The back park of Independence Hall, the second capitol and the general meeting place for the colonies. Also where the signing of the decleration of Independence took place. It rained that day as was wonderful. The Tomb of the Unkown soliers of the American Revolution in Gearge Washington square. Across the street from the Harrison house lives a woman who is 94 and remembers Mom's grandfather and him building the houses there. Her house was already there and they had dirt streets back then. Carpenters hall where the first continental congress met. My great grandfather is a member of the carpenters hall. He is in good company as president Calving Coolige is an honorary member. Mom's house that she was raised in on Rosalie St. A 3 story town house. The back door to the Rosalie house. We met a guy having a yard sale around the corner that used to live next to Shea Stadium. his dad worked there but as a boy he was never alowed to bother the players. The elevated or El on Frankford St. It turns into the subway downtown. Her mom and dad never had a car so always took the El. Mom's grandparents house on Harrison St. Her grandfather built the houses on that side of the street. The woman who is currently living there, Eleanore, let us in to show us the house. She is returning it to it's original condition.
