Christmas vacation

This Christmas we went to Monterey and stayed in a bed and breakfast again. This is the third time we have done this the week before Christmas. The difference this time is that we played golf at Spyglass Hill, which is one of five golf coursed in the Pebble Beach resort. It was great! It did rain on the back nine but when you are playing Spyglass Hill, you don't quit for anything.
We of course took the Lotus and enjoyed the drive up PCH. On the way back a storm had blown in the night before and the wind was blowing real hard which made some beautiful white capped seas.
Once we got back we had the traditional Christmas at home on Christmas morning with the kids opening thier gifts.
We had our neighbor over who had lost her husband this year to cancer.
We then went over to Chris' moms house for the usual 12 days of Christmas song and the gift exchange and of course lots of food.
All in all it was a really good Christmas for our family. We hope yours was the same.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!

Christmas morning.

Jojo watching the train.

Lucia Lodge on the way home from Monterey.

Spyglass Hill 17th. Yes it is the only hole I pared. I shot a 123.

There were a lot of deer on the golf course.

It rained on the back 9.

Corsaros yard light job in Palos Verdes Estates.

We, Bradley Electric, did a job in Palos Verdes Estates that took two weeks. It was interesting as we stayed at a hotel next to LAX. There was this homeles guy in the side doorway. He would not even get up to go pee. I went by once and he almost peed on me.
The house is right on th cliff, but the ground was reall had. Glad I do not dig any more.

Misc. since summer and Christmas.

We got a new BBQ. We bought it for Thanksgiving and we are really getting into it.
The dog down the street has his own portal to view the neighborhood.
The cat just sits and licks herself. What a life.

Grandkids in a blanket.

Golfing with Dad, Micah,Bob Keeran and my baby at Indian Wells golf resort.

In September Dan and Paula came out and we went golfing in Indian Welss with Micah and Bob Keeran. It seems that everytime I want to go golfing the weather is great until the day we go and then it turns hot. Well now it is the oposite, every time I want to go now it rains. Go figure.

First days of the Christmas holidays

Jason and Nita have been coming by after church on saturday nights and this was last week. We just sat and laughed.
The Cat has found a new hidding place too. I knew she was in but could not find her. Well she seems to like Christmas trees like everybody else.

Thanksgiving Lobster and steak feast

This Thanksgiving we decided to bribe our kids to come home for the holiday. So we served them steak and lobster. We all sat down and we served as we cooked it. Everyone had a good time including the cat the the two smoking deliquents. Everything turned out wonderful and we had the greatest time together as a family, as the pictures would indicate.

golfing again, used golf balls, singing with dinner, rain & lunch out with Rachel Hogan in downtown Blacksburg

We met a new neighbor who collects golf balls from the course that have gone astray and sells them in dozen egg crates for $5:00 a dozen. I bought 4 dozen and he gave me 2 dozen free. I let him know that he might get some back tomorrow.
What a putter. it was the best part of my game this week.
Our realtor, Rachel Hogan and her first baby boy, Braden. Pat had to finish a job so could not meet us for lunch.
Virginia Tech's Hokie bird mascot.
The inn keeper Joyce and her niece at breakfast.

more golfing, church, met neighbors & hiked falls

A dead millipeed on the trail.
Bridge across the stream.
Big leaves are a new site compared to California mountain trails.

We went to church this morning. The pastor is a retired methodits that was asked by the church to consider being it's pastor and now he has been there a number of years. He is a really good expositor preacher and loves the folks there and they love him.
We met our neighbors and talked economy, (most folks here a very conservative) housing market, someone to mow our property so it does not get out of hand, & she has a great doll collection. They are Ron and Charlotte. They tell me the man that lives across the street form the golf course collects golf balls, catogorizes them and stores them in egg crates to sell as used if you just knock on his door. So guess who will be knocking on his door today.
We hiked the trail to the Cascade falls next and did not quite get to the top before out tee time and had to turn back.
We went golfing at 5:00 pm and finished by 8:00 with an hour of daylight left.

Start of vacation

Bird watching with Chris' sissy, Cathy. Is bird watching for old folks?
The club house at Wild Hourse golf course in Velma OK. Thsi is one high class club. We used to take a honda mini trail 50 with a set of clubs, a pregnant Chris and myself to the course and go golfing almost 30 years ago when we got married and moved here.
When we pulled into Duncan OK we noticed that all the flags were at half mast. We found that a son of someone in the town had fallen in action in Iraq. The funeral was the day before and all the town businesses closed and the entire town lined the streets for the funeral procession. Now that is awsome! Would if the entire country felt that way.
This is the first B&B we stayed at in Duncann OK. It was right next door to the hospital that Micah was born in. We had no idea!
Breakfast on our own patio the next morning.
Look it's Luigi's tires from "CARS". This is somewhere in the panhandle of Texas of Oklahom.
Chris is reading as usual. This one is of a murder in Ada OK in the early 80"s. There are submarine machine guns that shoot torpedos, or some such thing.
